Join dozens of Fortune 500 companies and hundreds of nonprofits in making differences in the lives of veterans and young adults from underserved communities by providing NPower students and alumni with internship and employment opportunities. Employment provide students the opportunity to apply their tech skills and grow their professional experience. 

Note: All internships are paid.

Tech Fundamentals Internship

The seven week paid internship period follows 15-weeks of in-class instruction. The skills of the interns vary from student to student but generally interns can perform the following activities:

  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, server applications, images and networks
  • Perform data administration, disaster recovery and equipment inventory tasks
  • Provide desktop support in local and remote locations for PC’s, handhelds, laptops and printers
  • Manage phone systems: set up mailboxes, create phone extensions, and user permissions
  • Provide web design maintenance and updating

Cybersecurity Internship

NPower offers accelerated training programs for more advanced IT coursework including Cybersecurity. There are currently 1 MILLION openings for cybersecurity positions in the U.S. NPower is meeting that need with the development of diverse talent.

The 12- week paid internship period follows 14-weeks of in-class instruction. NPower students are typically considered for positions like Security Analyst, Security Engineer, Technical Support Associate, and Identity Management Operations Engineer.
