Bill Veghte

Bill Veghte is executive vice president of the HP Software & Solutions organization in the Enterprise Business. The $3.6 billion business unit includes software and solutions across IT management, information management, business intelligence as well as communications, media and entertainment.

Previously, Bill was at Microsoft for nearly 20 years. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for the company's $15 billion global Windows® business. He led the development of a variety of market-leading products - from the development of Windows 98 and Windows CE 3.0, to the Windows Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003 product lines. Most recently, he was instrumental in the delivery and launch of Windows 7.

During Bill's tenure managing Microsoft's largest sales, services and marketing organization, North America, the overall business grew by nearly $2 billion and customer/partner satisfaction increased by 18 percent.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian studies from Harvard University.
Based in Cupertino, Calif., Bill serves on several boards including NPower, which is dedicated to helping nonprofits use technology to serve their communities.
