Coastal Community Foundation
Coastal Community Foundation Volunteering Corporation: JPMorgan Chase
Project Type: Microsoft Office Training
Challenge
Coastal Community Foundation was in the middle of a Microsoft Suite migration to Office 2010 when they reached out to The Community Corps to help train their staff on the new features and functionality.
Solution
Tina, the project lead from Coastal Community Foundation was matched with Jay from JPMorgan Chase. After just one phone call Jay understood the deliverable and held an overview of the new release from Microsoft along with a PowerPoint deck to facilitate the training. Tina found both the matching process and the execution of the project to be painless and provided her staff with an invaluable service.
Impact
The training provided by a Community Corps volunteer helped the Coastal Community Foundation get up to speed with new software. Community Corps volunteer, Jay, from JPMorgan Chase also benefited from the experience, raving that "the Community Corps site has helped [him] connect with and learn about non-profits that [he] normally wouldn't have a chance to interact with locally."
