GBSN Volunteering Corporation: Accenture
Project Type: Salesforce
Challenge
Lauren found The Community Corps with the help of the Salesforce Foundation when looking to expand the use of Salesforce within her own organization. After posting her project Lauren was matched with a skilled Salesforce volunteer and at the completion of her project was not only handed strategic recommendations on how to leverage Salesforce but also received training on how to implement the solutions on her own.
Solution
Although Salesforce projects can be worked on remotely, the volunteer elected to go onsite and visit Lauren at her location. After just a few one on one sessions Lauren had the tools to hit the ground running.
Today Lauren continues to leverage The Community Corps to meet the growing technology needs of her organization. Lauren has been matched to Bernardo from Accenture who is heading a team of Website Usability experts to help Lauren and her staff develop a comprehensive plan to optimize website navigation. With Bernardo’s help GBSN hopes to reach their objective and increase both traffic and average visit length in their website.
Impact
Lauren puts it best herself : "The Community Corps connected GBSN with a wonderful Salesforce volunteer who did more than provide us with an invaluable service; she also took the time to educate me so that I could customize the platform myself! TCC's help also allowed me to advocate within my organization for the value of Salesforce to enhance efficiency. Now everyone at GBSN, especially the executive team, realizes the potential of Salesforce to help us better achieve our mission. My next project with TCC is a Web Usability Assessment and I am working with a great volunteer from Accenture to make our website navigation more user friendly."
