Pajama Program
Pajama Program Volunteering Corporation: JPMorgan Chase
Project Type: Website Management & Maintenance
Challenge
Given recent media awareness and high profile support, Pajama Program's reach rapidly expanded across the nation. As more visitors flocked to Pajama Program's website, staff realized that the site was outdated, crowded and unprofessionally done. With limited resources, they needed help to make the site more attractive and user-friendly. Through their website, Pajama Program wanted to present themselves in a clear and professional manner.
Solution
Pajama Program, a current client of NPower, decided to seek this help by participating in the new Community Corps initiative. A staff member posted the need on the system and was matched with a web usability expert from JPMorgan Chase. The volunteer evaluated the site, created a detailed website plan and reviewed the necessary changes with staff. This type of web assessment and planning would have typically cost Pajama Program upwards of $500.
Impact
As a result of the project, Pajama Program used the recommendations from the JPMC volunteer to initiate an overhaul of their website and still continues to follow those guidelines on all new updates and web pages. The site is cleaner, clearer, and easier to use and reflects the mission and great work that Pajama Program is doing!
