Jonathon is living proof that success comes to those who seek out opportunity. As a native of St. Louis, a city confronting significant racial tension, Jonathon sought a better path for himself by pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Sadly, due to financial hardship, he had to drop out and take a job at a retail store to make ends meet. After completing the NPower program, Jonathon realized his passion for technology and is working as Service Desk Analyst at World Wide Technology (WWT).
“I applied to be a student in the NPower program thinking it would change my life and it did.”
WWT, like many companies who partner with NPower, is actively recruiting non-traditional entry-level talent. They are choosing to prioritize relevant and applicable skills sets over the traditional requirement of a college degree. This recruitment approach not only addresses the skills gap, but also enhances the diversity of the workforce.
“WWT is a great company to work for.”
At WWT, Jonathon will have the opportunity to shadow members of the cybersecurity team and be considered for growth opportunities in the future. He is a shining example of the resilience NPower graduates hold as they forge new pathways and launch their careers in IT.
