Since 2013, NPower has served the North Texas region. The North Texas program is located within the Bill J Priest Center at 1402 Corinth Street, Suite 139, Dallas, TX 75215. Each of our programs have made a real impact in the local community and we are growing.

Develop the Tech Skills You Need

An estimated 300,000 service members including Guard and Reserves will leave the military each year over the next five years. NPower is committed to building brighter futures for military veterans by providing access and opportunity to tech skills to help them achieve their potential. 

NPower's Tech Fundamentals program provides free technology and professional skills training. We offer mentoring from business leaders, paid internships and career development workshops at leading corporations and nonprofits, industry-recognized certifications as well as employment and alumni services.

NPower Dallas serves veterans who are eager to transfer their vast military experience and develop new skills toward an exciting career in technology. Most NPower graduates are employed at industry-leading companies like JP Morgan Chase, Citi, Capital One, and a growing list of others.

NPower is committed to building brighter futures for military veterans by providing access and opportunity to tech skills to help them achieve their potential. 

Students participate in an extensive 20-week program that incl
udes detailed classroom work, professional mentoring, internship and job placement support. We're thrilled to partner with the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) to deliver the Tech Fundamentals program in Dallas.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Successful applicants must be individuals serving in the military or honorably
    discharged. 
  • We generally consider applicants with an income that falls within 200% of the federal poverty level
  • Graduates are required to successfully complete all the course work, including a seven week internship.
Program Details:
  • 15 weeks of in class instruction
  • Opportunity to participate in a 7 week paid apprenticeship

Once submitted, the NPower Dallas team will review your information and follow up with you directly. If you are a fit for the program, you will be asked to complete a full online application which builds on the information provided in your Interest Form.

Interested in Advanced Certifications?

Currently in the United States, nearly 300,000 cybersecurity jobs are unfilled. An estimated 20% of those jobs could be filled by candidates without a four year college degree, but with the right mix of education, certifications and training they can be prepared for entry-level roles.

NPower Dallas offers graduates advanced certifications in Cyber Security and Coding. 

Cybersecurity

NPower’s cyber security program prepares veterans for one of the most in-demand careers in Information Technology with curriculum informed by industry leaders and labor market trends.
The free program runs 26 weeks.

Program Details:
  • 14 week in class instruction 
  • 12 week paid apprenticeship with possibility of hire
  • Transportation stipend (as needed)
  • Opportunity to sit for Network+, Security+ and Linux + certification exams 
Eligibility Requirements:
  • A+ Certified or 2 years or more technology experience, or college degree 
  • Background check 
  • Successful completion of application process 
  • Veteran currently serving in the military or honorably discharged
  • We generally consider applicants with an income that falls within 200% of the federal poverty level

Coding

NPower's coding program prepares veterans for careers in the web developer or administrator fields. The free program runs 12 weeks.

Program Details:
  • 12 weeks in class instruction
  • Transportation vouchers

  • We generally consider applicants with an income that falls within 200% of the federal poverty level
