You’ll need an account first before you can access the gala. As an invited guest:
- Search for an email from [email protected]
- Click the secure URL link in the email to accept the invitation.
- Create your event credentials by using your LinkedIn account (recommended) or creating an account with name, email address & password.
Can’t find the email? No worries, just go here and enter the email address that received the original invitation. If you are an invited guest, a new email will be sent and you may follow the instructions above.
TECH CHECK
The Hubb virtual event platform works best on Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Make sure to enable javascript on your browser and disable any pop-up blockers when in the virtual NPower Gala. A reliable internet connection will ensure you won’t miss a thing.
Many of the virtual events will be hosted on Zoom. Please confirm your computer supports Zoom Meetings and Webinars before you join the virtual gala.
DRESS CODE
Keep that camera on and dress to impress. Most will be in business casual, but do not be afraid to get fancy.
DINNER DELIVERED
While 2020 has limited some options, we are excited to offer the ultimate flexibility for your gala meal. All gala guests who have confirmed their attendance before October 19th will receive a $20 credit to GrubHub/Seamless to be used on the night of the gala. More information and the required expense code are available in the Dinner Delivered section of the virtual gala.

The NPower Gala is a truly virtual event. Start your evening in the Welcome Lobby and explore the different rooms and experiences. Keep track of time as you won’t want to miss the main stage program at 6:30PM located at YOUR TABLE. The left navigation offers quick links and more opportunities to explore. Be sure to update your profile with your headshot by clicking My Profile at the bottom.

REGISTRATION & EVENT ACCESS
The registration team will be live supporting all registration and event access hiccups and issues on the day of the gala (October 19) from 10AM – 7PM EDT.

Once inside the event, we will have a team of staff members ready to answer any questions. Just open the “Live Help Desk” chat window on the bottom right corner of the virtual event and someone will be there to quickly assist. Available on October 19 from 8AM – 8PM EDT.

Spend 30 minutes having a bit of fun before the main program starts. The Live Trivia Contest will include a wide array of questions on topics like diversity and tech to food and entertainment. Prizes will be sent to the top winners after the gala.VIP Exclusive Networking Experience
From 6PM – 6:30PM, VIP guests will have special access to a unique tech celebrity networking opportunity. Tech icons from across industries will join the NPower Gala and host intimate networking sessions in private Zoom Meetings. Only VIP guests may access and reserve spots in these special rooms. This is a prized opportunity for face-time with leaders in the tech world. Room seats are limited and we recommend VIP guests access the event early (starting on Friday, October 16th at 5PM EDT) to reserve the rooms they would like to join.

THE BIG SHOW
This is it. This is when the real fun starts. Award-winning journalist and gala emcee, Soledad O’Brien, will open the program to set the stage for the evening. We will hear from NPower CEO Bertina Ceccarelli and the organization’s strongest advocates. Our fearless honoree Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, will share her candid insights in an intimate fireside chat with Soledad. A resilient NPower alum will share his story of trials and success. We will close the program with a competitive and surprise-filled text-to-pledge segment to raise the critical funds we need to truly rewire opportunity and make a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

We encourage you to keep your camera on with your best business casual. But, don’t let that stop you from dressing up, it is a gala after all!
Make your way to the One-on-One Meetups space where you can request virtual meetings with any other gala guest for Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th. Simply pick a time, find the person you’d like to connect with, input your preferred virtual meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams etc.) and send. The invitation will go straight to the person’s email inbox and the meetings take place entirely outside of the event platform.
We recommend arriving to the virtual gala a bit early, at 5:30PM to get comfortable with the platform, update your profile with a headshot, and plan your evening. The fun starts at 6PM with an array of options for how you can spend your first 30 minutes of the gala. At 6:30PM you will join your gala table to watch the 45 minute program together while catching up and networking in table’s chat box. The after-party kicks off at 7:15PM with a special musical performance from Freestyle Love Supreme or you can choose to continue networking in the Networking Lounge.
The main program will be a live video feed directly to your gala table room. Access your gala table by clicking on Your Table in the main lobby at 6:30PM. At your gala table, you may chat with fellow table guests in the chat box.
No, while we recommend using your LinkedIn account credentials to access the gala, you may choose to set-up a traditional account using your name, email and a password. If you go that route, please note that you will be required to complete a short secondary email verification.
Not a problem at all. The system will still link your gala invitation with your LinkedIn credentials access. Everything in the gala will still be fully linked to your work email, or the email address where the initial invitation was sent.
You may access the gala at npowergala2020.hubb.me on October 19th at any time during the day. Enter using the same credentials you created when you confirmed your attendance (either with LinkedIn or by setting up an account).
Feel free to explore the virtual platform and decide how you would like to start the evening. The Networking Lounge & Accenture Expo Booth will open at 5:30PM EDT and official events begin at 6PM.
While we believe that everyone is a VIP, for the constraints of this event, only designated VIPs may have access to the 6PM – 6:30PM tech celebrity networking sessions. To see if you are a VIP, look at your profile and it will show “General” or “VIP” under Guest Type.
