What is Networking and Systems Administration?
Day in the Life of Networking and Systems Administrator
- Connect with team on rollout of new networks with a brainstorm on potential problems/solutions
- Spend time administering the cloud system and updating permissions and service deployments
- Take a lunch break!
- Partner with team to communicate effective utilization of new systems
- Re-establish a broken connection to and from various cloud network types
- Add to-do list for tomorrow – manage firewalls request for new Senior VP
What You Will Learn
- Set up cloud computing environment, virtual machines, network infrastructures and cloud services including Azure
- Get experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and managing network and cloud services/issues
- Manage directory services, conduct system performance backups and recovery
- Discover scripting language and trend analysis
- Implement automation, virtualization, identity access, security components, data analytics with A.I. tools
- Opportunity to earn multiple certifications like CompTIA Linux+ and CompTIA Net+, AZ 900, AI 900

Who can enroll?
- Applicants must reside in Newark, New Jersey, the New York City Metro Area, or within a 2-3 hour driving distance from either location
- Individuals aged 18-26 with a high school diploma or equivalent, or military veterans and spouses over 21 (honorably discharged or serving in the guard/reserves).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- First-time NPower student
- As this is an accelerated program, candidates need experience using computers: browsing the internet, downloading and uploading files; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and a basic understanding of computer hardware and software components. Having exposure to using operating systems and obtaining entry level tech certifications like CompTIA A+/IT Fundamentals or Google IT Certificates are helpful foundations for this program.
**Graduates from NPower or alternate tech training programs are not eligible for this program at this time.
