About the Coalition
As an organization, we have been intentional about addressing the underrepresentation of women in tech through the launch of the Command Shift Coalition, a national consortium of women and allies that advocate for strategies that invest in and inspire the advancement of young women from under-resourced communities in tech careers—with particular focus on women from underrepresented communities and non-traditional pathways.
Backed by data and insights from Lightcast, the Command Shift’s Equation for Equality research report highlights the unveiling of an untapped tech talent pipeline of 2.7 million women from under-resourced communities with the skills to enter tech. Our analysis of this research led to the creation of Path2TECH, an innovative program that provides customized pathways for women to bridge the gap into the technology industry.
The first course offering in this program is Full Stack Development.
