Women Helping Women: Mentoring the Future

Recap from the NPower Women’s Executive Roundtable | September 23, 2019

Over 50 of our female students from New York and New Jersey were inspired and encouraged by the 22 mentors from partner companies: Accenture, Broadridge, Citi, EY, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Medidata, Uma, WWT and Xasis.

Mentors shared their experiences and made connections with the young women, reinforcing the message: that we are in this journey together and it is possible to claim your space in tech.

A special thank you to EY for hosting the event and to NPower Advisory Members, David Boyle and John Sasso. Presented in partnership with the support of Citi Foundation for the 40 by 22 initiative.

“…Thank you to the mentors who volunteered to share their advice and wisdom with us all. Honestly, before this event, despite already having a certification, I was highly intimidated pursuing a career within technology. After speaking with numerous mentors and hearing from other mentees, my doubts and intimidations are no more. My confidence rose, and I’m even more enthusiastic in starting my technology career and ready to face any challenges that may come!” – NPower Student
