The St. Louis metropolitan area has a booming tech scene with an estimated 30,000 job openings. The region is also home to almost 40,000 young adults from under-resourced communities who have the interest, potential, and capacity to work in a tech job and be the next generation of technologists.

Located on the campus of Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU), NPower Missouri provides FREE technology training and development to young adult job seekers, offering an alternative fast-track to tech jobs with employers committed to hiring diverse IT talent.

Our Tech Fundamentals program is your entry point to a tech-based career. In as little as 23 weeks you will master the basics of IT with real-world application and credentials.

Become a Cybersecurity Specialist

Cybersecurity has become an incredibly valuable IT skill-set with the evolving need to protect electronic data. We offer a 30-week part-time program to NPower alumni for an opportunity to gain advanced certifications and improve your earning potential.

NPower Pioneers IT Apprenticeship Program with US DOL and SLATE, Bringing New Regional Employment Opportunities to St. Louis

NPower, a national nonprofit providing free technology training and job placement assistance, announces the launch of a large-scale partnership with the US Department of Labor (US DOL), Office of Apprenticeship and the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), officially recognizing NPower St. Louis as a registered Apprenticeship Trainer for Information Technology (IT) Generalist Apprenticeships. This designation is the first of its kind for Missouri and follows the IT Generalist Apprenticeship programs previously introduced by NPower in New Jersey, California and Texas, and places St. Louis among the first cities in the nation to offer this type of apprenticeship.
